INDIAN STYLE CHICKEN SKEWERS

INGREDIENTS:

 

  • 5 g garlic

  • 3g ginger

  • 50g 0% fat free greek yoghurt

  • fry light cooking spray

  • 0.5teaspoon garam masala

  • 1⁄4 teaspoon ground tuneric

  • 1⁄4 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 120g red pepper

  • pinch of black pepper and sea salt

  • 125g chicken breast

  • wooden skewers 

 

METHOD:

  • Add the garlic, ginger, turmeric, paprika, salt and black pepper to a food processer and
    blend until mixed well

  • In a bowl mix into yoghurt until mixture is 1 colour

  • Chop the chicken into cubes and cover with the yoghurt until thoroughly coated, cover with cling film and leave in fridge for at least 2 hours.

  • Allow wooden skewers to soak in warm water before moving forward to prevent burning whilst cooking

  • Once chicken has marinated chop red pepper into square pieces and carefully add both the chicken and the pepper pieces to wooden skewers

  • Heat a griddle pan over a medium heat and spray with cooking spray

  • Apply skewers and cook (turning frequently) for 7-8 mins each side or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and golden brown.
